Daniel Michaels, 73, of Cleveland, Ohio, a Vietnam War combat veteran, passed away on April 26th, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Daniel was born in Cleveland, Ohio to James A. Michaels and Anne (nee Hyland) on June 17th, 1950.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Daniel attended Brush High School in Lyndhurst, OH. He proudly enlisted in the USMC in 1968 and served with honor. He was an Air Traffic Controller at a few major airports, most notably San Francisco International. He was a certified gemologist and recreational pilot.
Daniel is preceded in death by James A. & Anne (parents), Sheila Russell (sister), and James P. (brother).
Daniel is survived by his sons Sean (Victoria), and Kevin (Jennifer), his siblings Patricia Fischer, Terry, Kevin (Diane), and Loretta (Clive), his grandchildren Harrison and Oliver, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Also Gail Boughton, and Pugnapa Wongsila.
Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio on August 30th at 10:45am.
