Frances Mae Hamilton

Frances Mae Hamilton, born Williams on February 27, 1936, in Cruger, Mississippi, gracefully departed this world on March 19, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV. She was the cherished daughter of James Williams and Geneva Dye Fleming. In 1953, she joined hands in marriage with Percy Lee Hamilton and together welcomed their daughter Darlene Mae. Later in 1976, the joy of her life arrived with the birth of her son Dalvin Wesley Cooper on December 13th to Frances Hamilton and John Cooper. Frances was a beacon of talent and love that illuminated the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her journey, Frances devoted herself to the art of culinary mastery, paving a path of success with her venture at Fran's Kitchen from 1995 to 2000. Her culinary prowess shone brightly during her time at Kappa Kappa Gamma, UCLA from 1983 to 1986, where she was renowned as a top chef. Among her proudest achievements lay her time at Trade Tech College L.A. and the inception of her enduring Prayer Line over three decades ago – a testament to her steadfast faith that resonated every Monday at 7 a.m.

Fond memories of quality time spent with her beloved family held a special place in Frances' heart - memories that will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.

Frances is survived by her dear brother and sister Ethel Burton & Jermone Fleming; children Darlene Hamilton & Dalvin Cooper; grandchildren Kaanta Culbert, Dalvin Cooper Jr., Deandre Hamilton, Tiara Cooper, Antwuan Petty; great-grandchildren Jaunta Culbert, Kayla Culbert, Jermine Robertson, Kaaoni Culbert, Narcius Culbert, Nashay Culbert; and great-great-granddaughter Mahlon Culbert. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law Taneika Cooper and sister-in-law Beth Hamilton to cherish her memory.

A Funeral Service honoring the beautiful life of Frances Mae Hamilton will be conducted on April 12, 2024, at Las Vegas Cremations - 5555 W. Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas. This service stands as a tribute to a remarkable woman who touched many hearts with both her kindness and culinary flair.

Frances now rests in tranquility alongside her late husband Percy Lee Hamilton while leaving behind a legacy of love that will serve as an eternal wellspring of inspiration for generations yet to come. May she find eternal peace in the company of loved ones gone before her.

In addition to family members mentioned earlier, Frances is also survived by an array of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were lucky enough to have been part of her rich tapestry of life.
