Ingrid Orentas

Ingrid Martha Orentas, 78, passed away on February 4, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born in Germany, emigrated to the United States, and for over 65 years was a resident of the Chicago area. Ingrid was a long-standing member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, a tremendous lover of animals, especially cats, and her 35-year career with United Airlines invigorated her love of travel. Her favorite vacations included an African safari, seeing the polar bear migration in Churchill, Manitoba, and relaxing in sunny Hawaii. She was a thoughtful, generous and fun-loving presence in her friends’ and relatives’ lives. Ingrid is survived by her loving sister, Zenta Berghofer (Robert), nephew, nieces, great-nephews and great-niece. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Martha and Augustas Orentas, and brother, Alfred Orentas, who are now all reunited in heaven.
