James LeRoy Gloss

James LeRoy Gloss, age 73, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on April 15, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

James was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to Harry W. Gloss and Gladys F. Gahring (Gloss) on October 28, 1949.

James was a career U.S. Army Soldier and combat Vietnam Veteran. He retired at the rank of Sergeant First Class after serving 20 years on active duty. His most notable career assignment was as a U.S. Army Recruiter.

James is preceded in death by Rosemary June Skiles (Cobb) (1st former wife); Mary Lake (2nd former wife); Harry Gloss (father); Gladys Gahring Gloss (mother); Katherine Gloss (sister); Donald Holliday, Sr. (brother-in-law); and Donald Holliday, Jr. (nephew).

James is survived by Michael Gloss (son) and his Bride Alicia Gloss (daughter-in-law); James H. Gloss (son) and his wife Liz Gloss (daughter-in-law); James Lake and Robert Lake (step-sons); John Gloss (brother) and his wife Gloria; Patricia Wright (sister) and her husband Ken, and Mary Jane Holliday (sister); 6 grandchildren - Christian, Joshua, Kayla, Micah, Haydn, and Marlow; 2 great-grandchildren - Reece and Lennox; and many other extended Family members.

Inurnment services will be held at the Nashville National Cemetery, located at 1420 Gallatin Road, Madison, Tennessee, 37115-4619. The Family will announce the time and date. Michael Gloss will be officiating the service.
