It is with great sadness that the family of John Fitzgerald Stanley, 56, announce his passing on Monday, January 27, 2020, at the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nevada following a brief illness.
Lovingly remembered, he leaves behind his wife, Bobbie; his mother, Donna Bartels; his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and James Brooks; his daughter, Lisa Ramirez; eight grandchildren; a brother, sister and a beloved great-grand daughter.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, he relocated to Las Vegas in 1974. In his early years, Mr. Stanley was interested in the automotive industry where he worked in Automotive Parts Sales for more than twenty-five years. Moving from automotives to a new passion, Mr. Stanley then worked several years with a local charter school as a security guard.
Mr. Stanley had a great fondness for animals and children. He spent many hours comforting students and sharing hugs and “high fives” with them. Watching children’s faces and spending time with his grandchildren and dogs made John very happy.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 109 Lemon Glaze to celebrate his life.
Memorial donations in memory of John may be made to:
