Julie Ann De Castro

March 30, 1971 — October 24, 2021

Las Vegas, NV

Julie De Castro, 50 years old, of Las Vegas, passed away on October 24, 2021 in Las Vegas.

Julie was born in the Philippines to Helen De Castro on March 30, 1971.

She lived in Yigo, Guam and attended Simon Sanchez up to 7th grade before moving to Carson, Ca where she attended Stephen White and then moved to Wilmington, Ca and attended Banning H.S. Julie never married but had birthed three sons who were the greatest accomplishments and pride of her life. Before leaving California, she became a born- again Christian, another great accomplishment for her. Julie eventually relocated to Las Vegas, NV where she finally settled. She worked for Ashley Furniture as customer service/cashier. Julie then worked a few years in collections at Gentry finance before finding her niche in the transportations department at the MGM acquiring skills as a dispatcher and gaining friends and a work family. Julie rededicated her life to Christ by being baptized at Central Christian. Julie worked hard and played just as hard. She made friends where ever she went. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for the people in her life. Julie was a vibrant force that made life more interesting and fun; she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. Julie was loved for her humor, fascination with Scooby Doo, beaches and all things Disney. There was never a Coca Cola drink, Reese’s peanut butter cup or Peanut M&M that she didn’t like-Julie was known for her snacks. Julie enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews out bowling (even though she rarely picked up a bowling ball herself), trips to the park, library, movies, fast food restaurants and Buffet@Asia. No matter the distance or destination if you needed or just wanted to be chauffeured and she was available she would agree as quickly as she drove.

Julie is preceded in death by her first -born son, Michael Donovan Harris.

Julie is survived by her sons: James Roy Benson III and Jarrel Christopher Benson; her sister Elizabeth Wimbish De Castro; her brothers: Silvino Tolentino Asuncion Jr and Jun Ryan Napalan; her mother Helen De Castro McGuire and her aunts: Josephine Sangalang, Carol DeCastro and Brendalynn DeCastro; her uncles Arthur

DeCastro and Julian DeCastro; her cousins Joicelyne Dacio and Christopher Sangalang and her nieces, nephews, extended and honorary family.
