Larry James Fields was born June 17, 1952 to the loving parents of the late Job and Julia Fields in Los Angeles California.
Larry was born into a Christian family, Larry confessed to Christ and was baptized at a early age by Reverend Chambers Senior of Mount Baptist Church in Los Angeles California.
Larry received his education at Russel Elementary, Drew Junior High, and John. C Fremont High School. Larry was very passionate about scuba diving, model trains, and obsessed with GUNS!
Larry had many jobs in his life and his most life changing accomplishment was becoming a Owner Operator of his own eighteen wheeler diesel truck. Larry’s most rewarding job was working for the state of Nevada as a Gun Range Master.
In 1975 Larry met and married his childhood friend from Mary Ave Vonnie Rae Lewis and in this loving union bought fourth three loving children. Danyell, Evette, and Larry JR two grandkids DeAndre and Leighla.
Larry was a natural born comedian and a singer at heart. Larry and his friends formed a singing group, the group was being groomed by singer, song writer, and producer Willie Hutch of Motown Records “ Man them boys could sing.” Larry took every opportunity to crack a joke or scare his niece’s or nephew’s and they’ll all said man them tickles really hurt LOL. Larry also loved to pistol whip his family if they shot a good joke on him or got smart with him. As a young kid Larry always kept some mess going on in the house that gave us plenty to laugh about all these years. Larry valued his relationships with his family and friends. If you had a relationship with Larry you were smiling and laughing at the things he would tell you.
On November 15, 2021 Larry James Fields was surrounded by his family who love him when he was promoted to everlasting life.
Today Larry James Fields leaves to cherish his legacy (2) daughters Danyell, and Evette, (1) son Larry JR (2) Grandchildren DeAndre and Leighla. (5) sisters Dora, Katherine, Brenda, Cynthia, and Carol. (5) brothers Gerald SR, Julian, Paul, Richard, and Gerry. (1) sister in-law Claudia. (2) Brothers “deceased” Steven and Job JR. (1) Sister “deceased” Marabee. (3) Aunts Ellamea, Bobie, and Fay. (1) Uncle Dixon. (28) Niece’s and Nephew’s . (80) Great Niece’s and Nephew’s. (34) Great-Great Niece’s and Nephew’s. And numerous cousins and friends.
