"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lori D. Worrell on November 16, 2024 at the age of 68. Lori was born in Corona, CA and was a long time resident of Las Vegas.
She graduated from Clark High School Class of '74 and attended UNR.
During her teenage years she was active in the International Order of Rainbow Girls.
Lori's work career was almost entirely in the banking industry with jobs held at Clark County Credit Union, Sooper Credit Union in Colorado, Southwest USA, Plaza, Pacific Premiere, and her final position was at Lexicon Bank in Las Vegas as a Loan Specialist.
Lori was generous, loving and never rejected a chance to help those less fortunate. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting, reading and traveling.
Christmas was her favorite time of year and she enjoyed all the Hallmark movies. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Lori was proceeded in death by her father Russell Shoemaker, mother Bette Shoemaker and biological father Raymond Buechner. She is survived by her son Matthew Worrell (Shae) and grandchildren Zane, Emmalin and Owen. Her sisters Susan Blackmon (John), Stephanie Ware (Gary) and brother Charlie Shoemaker. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date."
