Randall (Randy) David Woods, 66, of Ventura, passed away on June 16th, 2020 at Sunrise Hospital Medical Hospital in Las Vegas, NV.
Randy Woods was born Los Angeles to Arthur Woods and Marion Woods (Farber) on November 15th, 1953.
Randy Woods graduated from Ulysses Grant High School, married to Paulette Lewis (Brunelle). Randy and Paulette had two sons, Erik and Keith. Randy and Paulette were married very young (neither was older than 18). When the boys were older, Paulette and Randy divorced. Randy later married Ann Pennington. They had no children together.
Randy’s first job, while still in junior high school, was as a security guard (he was always big for his age). Randy later obtained a part time job as a gas station attendant. Randy later became manager of that station. After the birth of his first son, Erik, Randy realized he would need a better source of income. He took up the offer of one of Paulette’s brother’s who helped him obtain a job as a Journeyman Painter (despite having no experience). Randy excelled at that job, as he did in most things he tried in life. Randy eventually opened his own construction company, started as “Randy Wood Painting”.
Eventually becoming the largest painting contractor in Ventura County and latter branching off into general construction. Randy retired after the housing collapse in 2008.
Randy Woods is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Karen Duren, his niece Holly Woods, his brother Lyndon Woods, and mother Marion Woods (Farber).
Randy Woods is survived by his sons Erik and Keith Woods, his brothers Robin and Sam Woods and his Granddaughter Giselle Woods.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the family has decided to delay funeral services until a date to be determined in the future.
