Sedona Abbey Stratford Obituary
Las Vegas – Sedona Abbey Stratford 18, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and loved ones on March 3, 2025. She was preceded in death by her Step Grandmother, MaryJane Dennison of Riverview Florida. Sedona leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Shipley Stratford and Marc and Rita Hernandez, brother Noah Hernandez, Grandparents: Frank Dennison (Pops), Abigail Banks Dennison (Gaga), Jose Hernandez (Pops), Sandi (Bob) Harmon, Aunt Mary Robin (John) Thiele, Uncle Tanner Dennison, Aunt Tina Conner, Uncle Jose Hernandez, Aunt Melanie Huebner, Uncle Dan Hernandez, Aunt Cynthia Tampos, Uncle Nicholas Fairlee, Godparents Patty Smith (Cha-Chi), Jay Stein, JR Coningford. Sedona will be greatly missed by her cousins and many dear friends.
On Thursday night (2/27/25) Sedona had a severe allergic reaction that sent her into anaphylactic shock. She experienced cardiac arrest while waiting for paramedics. Upon arrival at the Hospital, they intubated and placed Sedona on a ventilator. After multiple tests and monitoring brain activity the Drs determined there was little to no brain activity.
Sedona was very creative and passionate. She was known for her love of music, her unique voice, her song writing, and her ability to play multiple instruments. Sedona was enrolled at Northwest Technical Academy in the Culinary Arts field, she graduated early from Accelerated Academy in February 2025.
Sedona was a member of the Polynesian Club, Underground music scene supporter. Sedona, the Goth queen of the Vegas Scene was a beacon of unconditional support for everyone in the scene. Sedona showed up to every show she could and has supported every band in the scene with every ounce of her being. Sedona had such a pure love for music and all aspects of it, and such talent for it as well. Sedona was a huge part of that scene and is leaving a giant hole in this Community.
Sedona was an organ donor. And while her sudden passing is incredibly tragic, her heroic decision significantly impacted the lives of five individuals who she never met. Sedona saved lives. She lives on in them and in the memory and hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her time on this earth was short and she will be deeply missed. The footprint Sedona leaves behind in the world is profound and will be everlasting.
A celebration of life in Sedona’s honor will be held at St. Georges Anglican Church, 7676 W Gilmore Ave Las Vegas NV 89129 on April 7th 2025 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
Also a Celebration of Life will be held in her honor by her friends on April 19th 2025 at Voodoo Brewery 1415 S Commerce St #105 Las Vegas NV 89102 from 12 Noon until Midnight.
