William Thomas Kaleoalohaokalani Silva of Haiku Rd., Kaneohe, HI, passed away on November 12, 2023, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. He was born on April 21, 1964, in Hawaii. Willie attended Castle and Kalaheo High School, where he graduated from the class of 1982. He worked on the Glass Bottom Boat at Kaneohe Pier, in roofing, Hawaii Corrections, as an electrician on Maui, at Circus Circus Amusement Park, as a land surveyor, in security (OS), and as an American Eagle Cement Truck Driver.

Willie’s greatest love was his wife, Lavan, and his passion was the ocean, cooking, and Earth, Wind, and Fire. He enjoyed everything and everyone and was always the life of the party, making everyone laugh. "If you met him, you have a story to tell." He loved cooking for family and Luaus. He had a heart of gold with so much love and aloha for all. He would give the shirt off his back and help anyone however he could. Growing up, he played football for Kaneohe Knights, Castle Knights, and Kalaheo Mustangs, but basketball was his sport of choice. It all began with his dad and brother Frank at Kaneohe District Park with Kaneohe. This tradition started with his father and uncles and passed on to their sons and their sons to the present. He coached his niece's basketball team, The Rebels, and was hard to beat. Soon after, he moved to Vegas.

He is succeeded in death by his wife, Lavan Silva; his father, Kaleo Silva; his mother-in-law, Blondie Pascual; his brother-in-law, Darrell Roanana; and his in-laws, Pola and Rodney Kanoa.
